Citrus & Avocado Salad
Bright segments, creamy avocado, and a honey-lime dressing — ready in minutes.
Kim's note
Segment the citrus over the bowl so every drop of juice falls in — that juice is half the dressing. A sharp knife and a little patience make this look like a restaurant plate.
Ingredients
- 2 navel oranges, segmented
- 1 grapefruit, segmented
- 2 ripe avocados, sliced
- 1/4 red onion, very thinly sliced
- 2 tablespoons fresh lime juice
- 1 tablespoon olive oil
- 1 teaspoon honey or agave
- 1/4 teaspoon flaky sea salt
- Fresh mint leaves, to finish
How to make it
- 1
Segment the oranges and grapefruit over a large bowl, letting the juice collect in the bottom.
- 2
Whisk the lime juice, olive oil, and honey into the collected citrus juice to make the dressing.
- 3
Arrange the citrus segments and avocado slices on a serving plate.
- 4
Scatter the red onion over the top.
- 5
Drizzle the dressing over everything and finish with flaky salt and fresh mint leaves.
- 6
Serve immediately — avocado waits for no one.
